WHY NJ GRIFFINS?

Merriam-Webster Definition: Griffin (grif·fin)

A mythical animal typically having the head, forepart, and wings

of an eagle and the body, hind legs, and tail of a lion.

Middletown Township has two high schools:

-Middletown North who’s mascot is a Lion

-Middletown South who’s mascot is an Eagle

Being that our program will feed into either one of these High Schools, it made sense to utilize the Griffin. A mythical mashup of the two mascots!

The Middletown Lacrosse Club is a youth lacrosse team based in Middletown, NJ. We have Boys and Girls programs ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Established in 2015, we teach the fundamentals of lacrosse, respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.

We’re proud to have our young athletes go on to find success in both the Middletown High School North and Middletown High School South Lacrosse programs.
